Cocopeat is a multi-purpose growing medium made out of coconut husk. The fibrous coconut husk is pre washed, machine dried, sieved and made free from sand and other contaminations such as animal and plant residue. Cocopeat is a very good alternative to traditional peat moss and Rock wool.

Coir, also called coconut fibre, is a natural fibre extracted from the outer husk of coconut and used in products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes and mattresses. Coir is the fibrous material found between the hard, internal shell and the outer coat of a coconut.

Coconut chips are often washed with fresh water to lower their sodium levels. They’re then dried out in the sun to reduce their moisture content. Manufacturers then pack and store the well-dried coconut chips for several months to mature.

Desiccated Coconut is a finely Grated, Dried, Unsweetened form of Coconut, obtained by drying shredded or ground kernel. It contains no cholesterol or trans fats while being rich in a number of essential nutrients, including dietary fiber, manganese, copper and selenium.

These are fully matured coconuts but while de-husking, the husk is left intact over the "eyes" of the coconut. This is a sensitive area, and by protecting it we can increase the shelf life of the coconut as the area susceptible to decay is protected.
